Beceite Ibex hunt in Spain

The Beceite Ibex offers an exciting hunt in the most beautiful landscape. The hunt combines the thrill of mountain hunting with the relaxing atmosphere that you will find only in Mediterranean countries. However, the hunt is not necessarily physically demanding, so that anybody can do it. Compared to other ibex hunts around the world, the Beceite Ibex is excellent value for money. His lyre-shaped horns make for one of the most impressive trophies you can ask for.

The hunting area is situated between Barcelona and Valencia, roughly 30 km from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a beautiful and quiet area with very little tourism. Its size is roughly 100,000 hectares.

Hunting season lasts from October to May. Possibly the best time to hunt is the rut in November/December, as the ibex are active all day long. Springtime is equally good because the ibex gather in large groups and move to lower areas.

Every year, I arrange several group trips to Spain, on which I am personally present. The next trip will be from November 19 until 22, 2022. You are more than welcome to join us.

Alternatively, you can choose an individual date and traver by yourself or with some friends. Anyhow, we will organize everything for you so you can enjoy a relaxed hunting trip.

The hunting package includes:

*in Spain a trophy is considered “representative”, if it is big and mature but is smaller than medal category. All ibex shown on the pictures are representative.

Surcharge for medal trophies:

Bronze Medal €1,000

Silver Medal €2,000

Gold Medal up to 230 CIC points €5,000

Gold Medal more than 230 CIC points €6,000

If you shoot a bigger ibex than intended as a result of your guide’s mistake you are only paying the desired trophy size. However, the guides are true professionals so this is very unlikely to happen anyway.

If desired, female ibex can be added at a charge of €450 per animal.

Success rates have constantly exceeded 99 % over the past 3 decades. But in the unlikely event of being unsuccessful, the total costs will be €500.

You will stay in a first-class mountain lodge that is equipped with all luxury you can ask for. A cozy lounge, clean rooms and beautiful outdoor facilities make for a relaxing stay. Here you can enjoy peace and quietness amidst the ibex mountains. And on top of it you will be served the best dishes that the Spanish cuisine has to offer.

Taking your own rifle to Spain is easy and we will help you with the paperwork. Alternatively, you can choose to rent an excellent rifle.
